Activities: a self-help organization of humans with degenerative retina illnesses is such as Retinitis pigmentosa, Makuladegeneration, Usher syndrome and other one. It informs and advises humans concerned, their members and the public. It supports exchange of experience and the mutual assistance of its members. It promotes the scientific research in the area of retina degenerations with the goal, a treatment for these today not or only in special cases limits treatable illnesses to find. A scientific-medical adviser of physicians constantly stands for the combination for the newest information to the side.

Activities: The SNAB is the national umbrella organisation for 60 member organisations, which are all active in the field of blindness. As an umbrella organisation, the SNAB coordinates all efforts on behalf of and for individuals affected by sight loss, promotes international contacts and spreads information.
