Activities: The Insitution is a Lebanese National NGO specialising in education, youth and disability issues. It was established in 1988 as a school for the visually impaired. In 1993, a school for hearing impairment was established. Today, the Institution comprises: Al Raja'a School for the Deaf; Al Nour School for the Blind; Boarding Section; Special Education Section; Vocational Training Section; Computer Training Center and a Braille Computer Training Center.

Activities: LIB, is a private charity organisation that takes care of and rehabilitates the blind. It is engaged solely in social and humanitarian work. Current targets include: Taking care of the blind medically, psychologically, socially and economically and providing them with a scientific, cultural and professional education.

Activities: The school's goal is to educate blind and deaf children in such a way as to prepare them for effective participation in the daily life of their communities as independent and contributing members. The school runs a very successful programme in which the students are integrated into schools for the sighted and hearing. In the evening they return to their home school for coaching and support. A mobile teacher follows their progress. A vocational programme provides mobility and adaptability training alongside the teaching of skills such as carpentry to chicken farming.

Activities: YAB was formed in 1988 by a group of visually impaired and sighted persons with the aim of integrating visually impaired persons into society. Services include: advocacy and awareness programmes; integration of visually impaired children into mainstream schools; early intervention programme for visually impaired children; provision of special needs for university students to assist integration; provision of books and magazines on audio tapes; two workshops for handcraft: one for straw production and one for rug and carpet weaving; sports club; Summer Camps for blind and partially sighted youth of both sexes; artistic training activities such as plays, group singing, popular dancing and band.
